BiographyImportant 20th century Philadelphia printmaker & painter. Born in Newark, New Jersey in 1908, Harry Brodsky studied at the Philadelphia College of Art and the University of Pennsylvania. In 1947 he won the Brooklyn Museum Purchase Award and in 1948 he was the recipient of an award from the Philadelphia Print Club. In 1986 and 1996 he won the Audubon Artists Prize. He Exhibited in annual shows at the Whitney Museum, the American Academy of Fine Arts, the Library of Congress, the Carnegie Museum, and many others. [IFPDA]
