On viewLabel TextHanging Heart (Gold/Magenta) is one of five related works in different color schemes from the artist’s Celebration series, which embraces the wonderment and joyful innocence of childhood, as well as annual celebrations, such as Valentine’s Day. The highly reflective surface of Hanging Heart is achieved through the application of more than 10 layers of transparent color coating. Though crafted to appear as light as a balloon, Hanging Heart is made of high-chromium steel and weighs more than 3,000 pounds.
Corazón colgante (oro/magenta) es una de las cinco obras relacionadas, creadas en distintas tonalidades, que conforman la serie Celebración del artista, la cual adopta el asombro y la alegre inocencia de la niñez, así como de las celebraciones anuales, como el Día de San Valentín. El fuerte reflejo de la superficie de Corazón colgante se ha logrado por medio de la aplicación de más de 10 capas de baño de color transparente. Aunque se ha creado para aparecer tan ligera como un globo, la obra está hecha de acero de alto contenido en cromo y pesa más de 3000 libras (1360 kg).
