BiographyPainter, lithographer, cartoonist and writer, Jack Markow was born in London, England in 1905. He studied at the Art Students League in New York. Markow had thousands of original cartoons published in the United States and abroad in publications such as The New Yorker, Saturday Review, The New York Sunday Times Magazine and The Saturday Evening Post. Markow taught cartooning and drawing at the School of Visual Arts for eight years and published four how-to-cartoon books. [IFPDA]
