Label TextJohn Ridge, from a prominent family of the Cherokee Nation, wears conventional European-American clothing. There was a variety of dress among Native American tribes and individuals, with some (like Ridge) choosing European attire. Ridge received his formal education in Connecticut and was one of the first lawyers in the Cherokee Nation.

John Ridge, quien provenía de una distinguida familia Cherokee, viste ropas convencionales al estilo europeo-norteamericano.
