Cortright develops her paintings by copying from the internet, erasing, blending, mixing, and layering until the source material disappears completely, revealing a landscape of her own design; existing exclusively in the digital realm—a space of limitless possibility —until finally becoming fixed in real space once printed onto aluminum.
