Label TextWhen tweets are geotagged, their words become tied to specific places. Nate Larson and Marni Shindelman use publicly available GPS information embedded in Twitter’s geolocation software to select, travel to, and photograph the precise locations where Twitter users have posted tweets.

The resulting works pair sweet nothings, random thoughts, and intimate reflections with unexpected sites. These photographs ground the digital landscape in the real world, creating a visual memorial to a moment that likely poses as many questions as it answers.
