Label TextGeorgia O'Keeffe painted the recently constructed Radiator Building at night with its dazzling lights piercing through New York's dark fog. Notice Alfred Stieglitz's name in hazy red neon. This could liken Stieglitz's stature to the skyscraper itself: a larger-than-life monument of innovation and a portrait. Or perhaps O'Keeffe was poking fun at her husband's known boasting that his art galleries were under-advertised.
