Label TextAccording to Curtis, the members of this Southern Cheyenne band went to a nearby forest to cut tree poles they will use to build the lodge for their Sun-Dance ceremony. While in the forest, some of the men decorated themselves and their horses with willow branches. The horsemen in the back drag the poles to the camp.
