Label TextTo create Big Red Lens, Frederick Eversley poured polyester resin into a mold that rotated on a turntable, using inertia to create this shape. For Eversley, a parabola is the perfect concentration of energy: light, radio waves, and sound. The center of this shape is the acoustic and optical focal point, where sound is amplified and light is bent, creating the “fish eye” lens effect.
